It was Friday. We woke up really early today considering we needed to get up, pack up, eat up, and clean up. We got all our stuff together, packed it back in the van and went through a super mega clean throughout the church. Bathroom scrubbing, floor vacuuming. Pretty intense stuff. When we were done, outside of the church, there was a little trolley of breakfast foods for us to nibble on while we filled out some Youthworks surveys about the week. When we finished our surveys, they gave us t-shirts. They had a picture of 3 zebras on them and writing that said "YOUTHWORKS. Be like Jesus" It was pretty sweet. After this, we took a bunch of ridiculous pictures said our goodbyes and drove out of the church blaring Party Rock Anthem, everyone dancing, van shaking, just like it had been all week. So so good.
As soon as we left the church, we started driving to Hershey Park, which was a fair distance from where we were staying. In the vans we talked and listened to the Fray and some of us slept, it was pretty chill. Then we got there and broke out of the vans like mad people. I spent the whole day with Katrina, Emily, Cameron, Ryan, Greg and Alex. With everyone else scattered randomly in there. The first ride we went on as soon as we entered the park was Fahrenheit. It was basically the biggest coaster in the park with a 90 degree drop. Was such a great way to get us pumped. Other rides that were really good were Great Bear, Red Baron and Storm Runner. I almost died on Storm Runner. It was one of those rides which rooms forward, then stops, then BLASTS ON. Think I may have broken my neck, but it was all good. I almost died on all of these rides though because the safety bar never went down enough because I guess I'm just too small. Scary, but fun. We tried to hit every ride in the park then have lunch. We had some gross overpriced fried and salad and Cam had some really custy tasting kool-aid. We played some skeet after lunch, which I am pretty much in love with and won some rather demonic looking stuffies.
After this we made our way over to the Water Park. This was quite funny considering all of us didn't bring bathing suits. They still let us in though. It was kind of funny. We messed around in the Lazy River for about 5 rotations. We probably got yelled at 13 times by different people. Katrina, Emily and I decided to nap in the middle of the park. As in flat out on the ground in the sun. I guess some people thought we were planking so we woke up to anfew randoms taking pictures of us. So strange but hilarious.
The rest of the day at the park was good except for the crazy expenise food prices. We left for home after the parks and by home I mean New York where we stayed overnight in a hotel and went out for pizza. Back at the hotel I was going to stay in a room with Katrina and Emily but them Em started to vomit and I wasnt feeling it so I crashed with Maizie, Abbie and Em. Then all the guys came and it was chaos. We broke a few things and someone licked the toilet if I remember correctly. So weird.
The rest of the drive was sleepy, everyone was exhausted but we still played games and gave foot massages, gross I know.
I was greated by my grandparents when I returned home. It was a great week. Two weeks actually! And I am beyond thankful for everything I've experienced and all thenconversations I was able to have. It was jusy good. Really really good.
